Installation to the Ministry of Lectors

   As part of his new role, Bro. Bongcas will now be tasked with reading and proclaiming Scripture during liturgies, excluding the Gospel, and leading the congregation in the Psalm responses and Prayers of the Faithful. This responsibility extends beyond ritual; it signifies his deeper immersion in the Montfortian mission to spread the Gospel through both action and reflection. Fr. Yumang, SMM, in his homily, highlighted the importance of this step in the context of Montfortian spirituality as “beacons of the eternal, incarnate, crucified, and glorious Wisdom- Jesus Christ- whose Word became flesh” urging everyone to follow the example of the Virgin Mary in embracing humility and service to God’s plan. The role of the Lector is not merely symbolic - it is a critical moment in Bro. Bongcas’ formation as a future missionary, setting the stage for his ongoing commitment to spreading the Word of God with integrity and devotion.
