CEBU– Last September 7, 2018, the TTJ Batch 21 and 22 had their whole day recollection at the Franciscan Retreat House of Prayer in Tungkop, Minglanilla Cebu. The recollection was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Norwyn V. Baydo, SMM-the Delegation Superior of the Montfort Missionaries in the Philippines while Rev. Fr. Rene A. Bustillo, SMM, the head of the Cebu Mission Team celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation with the participants as preparation for their total Consecration to Jesus through Mary according to the teaching of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort.
The members of the TTJ Batch 21 are the “Friends of Wisdom” the lay collaborators of the Daughters of Wisdom in Upper Calajo-an, Minglanilla, Cebu while the TTJ Batch 22 are members of the Legion of Mary from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Minglanilla, Cebu. The recollection was concluded with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Fr. Rene, SMM.
At 6 o’clock in the evening, the TTJ Batch 21 had their Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary at the Montfort Mission House, E. Apostol St., Upper Calajo-an, Minglanilla, Cebu then followed by dinner.
On the morning of the following day, September 8, 2019, the TTJ Batch 22 had their Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary. The first part of the liturgy which is the Allegiance to the Word of God was held in the covered court of the Mission House then the congregation went in procession to the grotto inside the house for the renewal of the baptismal promises then proceeded to the chapel for the Act of consecration.
The main presider of both the Eucharistic celebration of TTJ Batch 21 and 22 was Rev. Fr. Norwyn V. Baydo, SMM and was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Rene S. Bustillo, SMM. After the Eucharistic celebration, the people were invited to the covered court for the program which was facilitated by the Association of Mary Queen of All Hearts (AMQAH) while the other TTJ Batches prepared the food for everybody. The occasion ended at 2:30 in the afternoon.
It is a grace-filled joy to experience another batch of TTJers consecrating themselves to Jesus through Mary.
