Quezon City- In advance celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary last October 5, 2019, thirty-four lay faithful made their consecration to Jesus through Mary according to the teachings of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort. The celebration started with the praying of the Most Holy Rosary and offering of roses to our Lady inside the chapel of Mary Queen of All Hearts. After the rosary the assembly gathered in the grotto of Our Lady of Barangay for the beginning of the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The first part of the liturgy of consecration, wherein they all made their Allegiance to the Word of God. Then the assembly went in procession led by Rev.Fr. Federick B. Yumang, SMM, National Director of the Association of Mary Queen of All Hearts, the presider, together with Rev. Fr. Benjie Notarte, SMM, Rev. Fr. Arnel Pagaduan, SMM and Rev. Fr. Gener Pito, SMM as concelebrants, outside the chapel, infront of the image of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, they renewed their baptismal promises. After their renewal, the assembly went in procession inside the chapel for their Act of Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, and after the homily there was the signing of the Covenant of Love. Then the normal flow of the mass continued. The celebration was attended by the AMQAH members, TTJers, Collegians, and Scholasticate communities.
The newly consecrated TTJers come from two groups, the first group is composed of the members of the Legion of Mary initiated by the officers of the Senatus Northern Philippines, this group held their session in the Montfort Center of Spirituality every Saturday in the afternoon since the launching last February 11, 2019, feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and the second group comes from the Legion of Mary from Our Lady of Peace Parish in Parañaque. They held their sessions every Saturday morning in Goodwill Chapel, inside Goodwill Subdivision in Parañaque.
A week before the consecration day, these two groups had a joint recollection day with Fr. Fed with Br. Francois Ancheta, SMM in the Montfort Center of Spirituality as the last stage of their preparation. The newly consecrated felt blessed and grateful to all those who facilitated their sessions and for the members of the Spirituality Team, who made all the preparations throughout this nine-month journey. After the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, a sumptuous meal was served and shared by every body. Everyone went home filled with joy and conviction in living out their consecration to Jesus through Mary in their daily lives.
