On February 21, 2018, The Montfort Missionaries, Philippine Delegation gathered once again in thanksgiving to the Lord for the gift of religious life. Fr. Paul Arnel Lucero, SMM; Fr. Reynaldo B. Bullas, Jr., SMM and Fr. Nelson M. Cabañero, SMM celebrated their 25th Anniversary of living out the Montfortian Religious Life. The event was held and hosted by the Collegians Community at Scout Madrinan Street, Quezon City. The celebration started at around five o'clock in the afternoon through a Thanksgiving Mass which was presided by Fr. Nelson Cabañero and concelebrated by the Montforian Priests. In the Mass, the three jubilarians have renewed their Religious Vows which was received by Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM, with his Council. This grace-filled moment was witnessed by the different Montfortian communities: the Collegians, Novices, Scholastics, Cebu, Dagupan, Bulacan and Santa Teresita, together with the Daughters of Wisdom, our Lay Associates, the Association of Mary Queen of all Hearts, families, friends, and visitors. Towards the end of the Holy Mass, the community offered a send-off prayer for Fr. Nelson, as he is preparing for his new mission in the United Kingdom. Dinner was served after the Mass, followed by a special program where every communities performed songs and dances to the delights of the audience. The three celebrators had also shared their messages which were truly inspiring especially for the aspiring and young religious present. Everyone had enjoyed and overwhelmed by the celebration as there were some surprised presentations that were performed by the invited guests. It was indeed a night filled with the graces of the Lord as we all celebrate the year of the Clergy and Consecrated persons in the Philippine Church.
